“FOR THE HOMIES” CEBU MISSION AND SKATE TOUR 2026

Last Feb. 20-23, 2026, we got the chance to witness the finest skateboarding scene of Cebu. The schedule plan was jam-packed for us, with agendas and missions to accomplish, such as bringing the trophies for the Awardies of Silog Skate Awards 2025, watching the premiere of Khyll “Smokey” Siarot’s solo video for Budmedia, and helping out with Push Philippines for their donation drive.

For us, SilogSkateMag, this trip has allowed us to capture and show the reflection of why Cebu Skateboarding has prospered and is a powerhouse that produces and hones our country’s top skaters for years now. Seeing them looking out for each other, adults giving opportunities to the up-and-coming and younger ones, and pushing to advocate for proper spaces like skateparks, free lots, and roads that will allow them to play and grow, it reflects their heart and passion for this art.

In skateboarding, differences will always be present: be it on crews and groups, places or roots you represent, and even style of playing; but when it’s time to skate, Cebuanos skate and shred proudly. A community that chooses to thrive, without any excuses, ‘cos at the back of their heads they know their kins and homies will always look out for them. No doubt, Cebu is the “Skateboarding Capital of the Philippines”.
