Mid Age of Dawn presents “OYO BRUCE WELCOME PART”

“Oyo Welcome Part” marks the official welcome of Filipino skater Oyo Bruce Tan to the Mid Age of Dawn (MAOD) roster—and it does more than just introduce him. It captures his raw, grungy style in full color, set against the rugged backdrops of Macau, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

Filmed by Banchi Jimena, Nick Santos, and Louie Oliva, and edited by Erik Wong, the video is a textured mix of crusty street spots, honest skating, and soulful grit. Oyo’s clips from the Philippines, filmed by Banchi, highlight his signature buttery flow—effortless, powerful, and deeply human. Ion Gudoy also makes an appearance, with his Philippine clips filmed by Louie and Nick.

The soundtrack, “Breathe” by Basement, ties it all together—gritty, emotional, and loud in all the right places. It’s the perfect companion to Oyo’s skating, which feels more like storytelling than showmanship. There’s no overproduction, no overhype—just a skater doing what he loves, in spots that reflect who he is and what he can do.
